WORK FROM 2021-2022
Mejuri is a Toronto-based jewelry brand that sells a variety of fine and semi-fine pieces made of precious metals.
Mejuri believes in jewelry as an expression of self: that it can mean whatever you want; that you can wear it when you want, buy it when you want, gift it, celebrate with it, reward yourself with it and keep it forever.
Process
-
Myself and the creative team at Acquire Agency were in charge of taking on the ad campaigns for Black Friday/Cyber Monday, Christmas/Holiday Season (2021) and Valentine’s Day (2022). My responsibilities included creating static optimizations for Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest and Google. Each campaign was to be completed in a span of around three weeks in order to prepare for launch.
Each design went through a series of brainstorming, mockups and revisions before final approval from Acquire Agency and Mejuri.
-
Familiarizing myself with the branding in a short time period was a challenge. I found myself frustrated when I didn’t get a design perfect right off the bat. This was my first large-scale ad campaign I had ever worked on as a Jr. Graphic Designer and I found the amount of revisions to be overwhelming at times.
-
Minimalism is not as easy to accomplish as one may think. Mejuri is a very minimal brand and it translates in the pieces they sell, emulating that look and feel in their ads was crucial.
I found with solid communication, patience and practice with better organization made all the difference in this process.

Dimensions
Each design is to be translated onto different dimensions. For example, 1x1 (feed) and 9x16 (story) is the standard for Facebook and Instagram. However, platforms such as Google and Pinterest require more intricate sizing.
